EXXXCCUUUSSEE ME.

I'm currently waiting to take an exam in history. Oh Marissa! Did you study at all over spring break? Why no. No I did not. I ENJOYED MYSELF FOR ONCE. SO NO. STUDYING WAS OUT OF THE QUESTION.
As most of you know. Spring break. I pretty much slept the whole time. And then I went to Luis' house. Yaaayy. We went to Medieval Times with his *ahem* glorious relatives on his stepdad's side. Needless to say.. they didn't tell us that we were driving on toll roads. So guess who didn't have money for tolls? Yep. We held up a toll line for ten minutes. The lady in the tollbooth was extremely rude, and eventually they let us go after I gave them 50 cents out of the &1.50 that the toll costed. Bwaha. I'm a criminal.
So yeah. Now Luis has like five unpaid tolls and he has to figure out how to pay all of them. And which ones we missed. SUCKER! xP

Medieval Times. That was.. meh. It was my second time going and the show was exactly the same.. so it wasn't as interesting as the first time.
Plus Luis talked and made fun of the entire thing. I punched him in the arm. I ATLEAST WANT TO TRY TO ENJOY IT. SHUT UP. SHEESH.
He bought me a glowing rose though. So I was happy. He also bought his sister a Zelda necklace. It was the Hyrule shield with the sword sticking out. We discovered that the little sword came out.. and it was in fact.. a little knife. He bought his fifteen year old sister a weapon. (Atleast I think she's fifteen) Woooo!
I have just thought about us in high school. Alexandria and I were always making fun of the girls turning sixteen, and how excited they were about it. Ooh. I'm gonna have a party, and wear a dress, and be catered to by a fifteen star restaurant.. blahblahblahnlahblahdon'tcareblah. I think its funny because we were both just as excited. Now we weren't talking about being catered to by a million star restaurant. (Notice my star quality change there? Yep. I thought it was necessary.) But in all reality, we were just as hyped at turning the big sixteen. We were them. Even the seniors now. We think they're funnt for being excited. But that was us. Which is why I'm laughing. Because we were them and I remember how much I was excited and crazy. I still am. (;
Well. I'm gonna end my random rambling now. Farewell my fair people of the blog!

Embrace the Randomness

This is me some mornings... or afternoons.... or nights.....

The snow is finally almost gone (there are still a few stubborn patches here and there) and the weather is gorgeous compared to what it has been.

A friend of mine (actually the girl who I will be rooming with next year) just found out that she is going to Ghana with an organization on campus this summer to help continue building a school.

I literally spilled blood over my homework this week. Somehow I cut myself and smeared blood on my calculus homework. My teacher now has my DNA so he can clone me if he feels the desire to do so.

I think I might apply to become a tutor next semester. I don't think they need any more this semester, but I was told that they could definitely use some next year.

PAPER TOWNS IS GOING TO HIT THE BIG SCREEN. I DON'T THINK YOU UNDERSTAND HOW PUMPED I AM FOR THIS CINEMATIC BEAUTY. AND JOHN GREEN IS GOING TO BE PRODUCING IT. *sniff* THEY GROW UP SO FAST.

LOOK AT THIS. JUST LOOK AT THIS MASTERPIECE. THEY ARE SELLING THIS POSTER ON DFTBA.COM THROUGH NERDFIGHTERS, AND WHEN I SAW THIS I WANTED TO CRY IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL. The things people create. God, I love imagination.

The Winchesters are so done with Crowley's shit. I nearly died at Sam's reaction. Oh how I love these guys' acting abiliities.

So, this song doesn't have a music video, but I like it a lot. I think my favorite line is "every second, every minute, every hour of life should be treated with the wonder in the eyes of a child."

Paramore. 'nuff said.

This is kind of a strange music video, but I love Foster the People. This is from their recently released album Supermodel.

Right now I really just feel like burying myself in a pile of blankets and pillows, making tea, and reading (I'm re-reading Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children before reading the sequel). I am so unmotivated to do anything, but I've got a crap ton of stuff to do.

Oh my God, this video. There are no words.

We were welcomed back from our spring break with a second table in our lounge. We were all rather ecstatic considering many of us spend copious amounts of time in there doing homework.

I watched Zombieland with Connor on Friday... which I suppose was yesterday.... I love Woody Harrelson so much. He is fabulous.

Okay, I should probably get back to homework.

Love,
Sara

Do you hear the people sing? No? I don't either.

Ummmmm hi. Where is everyone? It's been over ten days since the last post and that's sad. I mean, my life is uneventful but if I have to ramble on about nothing to get you ladies' attention, I will.

I'm serious. My life is so boring. What have I done lately? School, work, homework, shower, eat, sleep.

Yup. That's pretty much it.

I got a new bed today though, my life is exciting for one day.

But anyway, a lot about nothing:

I had a speech last week. Totally failed it probably. It was on dreams.

Talked to Will.

Hung out with Julian.

Played Quizup.

Went to work. Several times.

Wait funny story about work. So up front we have this rack that hangs down from the ceiling and we use it to store cups of all kinds so we don't always have to go to the back when we run out. Well it can get kinda high depending how many things are stacked up there. What I needed was to high up and after jumping a couple times to try and get it, I said "fuck it I don't need them that badly", turned around, and a sleeve of large cups fell and hit the back of my head! I turned around to see what the hell just happened and was greeted by yet another sleeve of large cups to the face. I then put my arms around my head as the rest of the cups came falling down on me. Needless to say, I got the cups I needed.

Ummm I'm currently writing a paper on Barnes & Noble.

I keep watching Frozen.

I'm currently reading Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell and I highly recommend it,

Yup.... that's my life.... I want to hear about everybody else's. This blog is beautiful, and I don't want us to ever forget about it. Even boring posts like mine are welcome. But I don't find what you guys say boring at all. It's all interesting to me and I want to hear it. Hell, I don't even know if anyone will read this, but it was worth a shot.

Peace

It's a Monday

I have failed you ladies at keeping up with my one post per week plan. Last week was just extremely stressful with three exams that I just didn't have time. I apologize. But, I'm back, not just on here, but back home as well! This week is my spring break, and it's really nice to have a week off to relax and leisurely work on the homework that I was assigned over break, considering that it wasn't an unbearable amount.

So, two funny stories that both have to do with Connor and tampons. First, he lives on an all male floor, and I am one of the only girls that spends time on the floor regularly. He also lives right across from the bathroom (since it is an all-guys floor, the only bathroom on the floor is the men's), so he wants to take a tampon, dip it into Snapple Apple Juice (which is red) and put it in the trash can (which is small) in the bathroom and see what kind of reactions come out of it. He found out he would get in major trouble though if it was traced back to him, because it implies that a girl was in the guy's bathroom, and it goes without saying that's a big no-no. So, now he's not going to do it.

Second story: We were studying for our chemistry exam together, and suddenly he comes up with this idea of creating a company that sells colorful tampons. He said that the white part that girls actually use should be colorful or covered with designs or something. So, we asked a couple of girls if they would buy them, and I am going to go around my floor and take a poll. Just curious, would you ladies buy them?

So, funny video time. This guy has to be one of the best storytellers I have ever heard.

And I suppose that since I am on YouTube, I might as well post my next installment of music videos/ songs:

You are getting another My Chemical Romance song. This music video is really sad, but I like it and the song. I like these guys because even though they can be a bit angry sounding sometimes, they stand for a really good cause. I watched a documentary of them one day with Connor, and they said that the reason why they formed the band in the first place was to reach out to people and save lives, and that the band had saved each of them.

I'm sure that you all have already heard this song on the radio, but I absolutely love it. I will admit that the first time I watched the music video I was alone in my room and it was late at night and it made me sob.
Okay, time for just a really fun-sounding song.
And a sweet one. I have to say I REALLY want her piano.

And that concludes this segment of Sara's post.

I actually don't have much else to say. Nothing too big has happened recently (that I can think of at least). So, I suppose this is as good of a spot as any to end this post.

Ta ta for now!

Love,
Sara

Calling all John Green fans and Nerdfighters

Okay, I'm going to make this quick. This whole situation really irks me and it's not just because some of John Green's books are being targeted. A lot of books on the list below are being targeted:

  1. Feed by M.T. Anderson
  2. Thinner Than Thou by Kit Reed
  3. Delirium by Lauren Oliver
  4. Uglies by Scott Westerfield
  5. Taken by Erin Bowman
  6. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time by Mark Haddon
  7. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
  8. Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes
  9. Will Grayson, will grayson by John Green and David Levithan
  10. Go Ask Alice by Anonymous
  11. 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson
  12. Paper Towns by John Green
  13. If I Stay by Gayle Forman
  14. Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver
  15. Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher
  16. Looking for Alaska by John Green
  17. Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
  18. Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare
  19. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis
A teacher in Strasburg, Colorado is wanting to create an ELECTIVE Young Adult Literature class. The above list is the course's booklist. Some parents feel that some of these books are to pornographic, profane, violent, etc. for their child to read. Need I say this is for grades 10-12?

First off, this is an ELECTIVE course. If the parents don't want their kids to read these books, don't let them take the course, simple as that.

Secondly, the books on that list have taught me more than twelve years of English course books ever taught me. Sorry Mrs. Powers, but its true. These are lessons of acceptance of loss, enlightenment of life, and the importance of a creative mind, among others.

Thirdly,  it's not like the books we already read in English are very well mannered either. I mean take Catcher In the Rye for example. All Holden wanted to do the whole book was to get with a girl. Not to mention, this teenager spends these few days on his own and his parents don't know about it. Also let's not forget Brave New World... orgy porgy? Or the one by Steinback where the guy kills his best friend? At least I think it was Steinback. How about Les Mis? Can we talk about how emotionally depressing that one is? Or the Outsiders. The Diary of Anne Frank? Any Holocaust book a teacher makes you read? Do I really need to continue?

Here's a link to John Green's tumblr in which you can find more information. You may have to scroll down a ways. Basically he says that you can send the teacher an email to show support or to address the school board as to why these books are important. This is a subject I feel strongly on, so I'm sending an email. Again, for email info just click the link. DFTBA

MUST PROTECT THE SOUP

Gah, my brain is mush right now. I've gotten to that point where just looking at homework annoys me. And I can't get to a comfortable temperature. I put on my jacket and I get too hot. I take off my jacket and then I'm too cold. And I don't even know what to write about, but I just want to write to you guys. Ugh. This probably means I'm going to start my period any day now. Great. Just what I need. NO I DON'T WANT YOUR SPECIAL PACKAGE MOTHER NATURE, YOU CAN JUST GO JUMP OFF A CLIFF. DON'T LET THE DOOR HIT YOU ON THE WAY OUT. FOR THE LAST TIME, I DIDN'T ORDER CRAMPS, MOODINESS, CRYING FOR NO REASON, THE DESIRE TO STUFF MY FACE WITH CHOCOLATE, AND HATING THE WORLD FOR A WEEK, SO GO GET HIT BY A BUS.

Sorry 'bout that (not really. Actually, maybe. No, I don't really care. Just kidding, that was mean of me.).

I think I need more sleep.

Maybe I should post those songs now.

Don't ask me why, but I love this next song and video.

Paramore is awesome. End of story.

Some peaceful music to make you feel calm.

First off, I love this next song, like, a lot, but when I first started to watch the video, I was a bit disappointed in Christina Perri, because she was dressed in a bit of a provocative outfit. But, once I started watching the video more and trying to connect the lyrics to it, I realized that I think she was trying to make a statement. Society tends to objectify women, and paint this portrait of how we are "supposed" to look. We are "supposed" to have bikini-ready bodies, not be afraid to walk around scantily-clad, have perfect hair, perfect skin, and basically be perfect in every way in our appearance. But she's saying that women, are in fact, not perfect, and not machines designed to be perfect, and that is okay. We should be allowed to not look like how society thinks we should look, and still be beautiful (and feel beautiful) even with our imperfections.

I really should be doing homework...

I feel like we need to start a band over the summer. Or a YouTube channel. Or break a world record. Or collaborate on a book (and stick with it this time). Something to get us all famous, because you all are fabulous ladies and you deserve to let the world know how awesome you all are.

We should all go camping. Camping would be nice. We could go swimming at midnight, and learn how to pee in the woods. I never have been able to do that.

Do you ever just want to go walking by yourself and get lost? Not in a town or city, but in some wooded or prairie area. I do. There are nature trails here on campus and I love walking on them, but sometimes I just want to keep walking without really caring where I am going until I realize I have no idea where I am, and then I have to find my way back somehow.

We should all go to a concert over the summer. Pick a band that we all like and just splurge on the tickets and go. I think we would have a blast.

Love,
Sara

I really should be doing homework..

I think I'm going to follow Rachel's example. I think I need to do a nerd post.
What about? Legend of Zelda. Yup. I don't think anyone understands how deeply I love this game. Alexandria, I believe you have an idea. It means so much to me. And no matter what, I can count the fact that I have to save the same princess in every game to cheer me up. Plus, Link is a hottie. He is my soul mate. I will probably never love a boy as much as I love Link. It sounds sad, but it's terribly true.
I think this post needs some theme music.

The music is gorgeous, and it makes me happy. If you have the time, I know it's long, but at least listen to most of it.  But that's okay! It's still pretty.

 What a cutie. :3

Despite Princess Zelda being in trouble all the time, I admire her.

How do you not fall in love with this? D;
I really should be doing homework.. I shall finish this later..
I want a Zelda themed cake for my birthday. NO EXCEPTIONS.
 Poor chicken. :c

 I.. I don't even know.

Epona (the horse) is beautiful. Riding Epona is one of my favorite things to do in the game. It's so much fun to just hop on your horse and go running around.

I just wanna lick his face. His eyes are so pretty.

 GAH.

I love Midna too. And Link's wolf form is gorgeous.

I need some coffee..
Blelelelele
 That face.

Can we, just for a second, give a round of applause to Ghirahim for being so fabulous?

This sucker. I hated him. I cried every time I had to fight him.

 Literally.

And here's the lovely Midna, to close this post.

Insert good title here

The red wave has made me very lazy today and all I want to do is make a nerd post, so thank Mother Nature. I think my goal is just to make you laugh, I didn't really try too hard with this. I'm really out of it, but it sounds like some of us need some laughter lately... and the knife game... but that's beside the point.

Anyway, here we go!

Way ta go Glen. No I'm not pregnant. NOBODY IS PREGNANT. I WANT TO BE AN AUNTIE BUT IT CAN WAIT.

Moving on

No, Elsa go away. I'm done with winter. Just no.

It's not big enough!

-------------------------------------------------------------

FINALLY

This is so me in choir sometimes... and today in English

OK THIS WAS BUGGING ME SINCE I SAW FROZEN THE FIRST TIME BUT I FINALLY FIGURED OUR WHY ELSA SOUNDED SO FAMILIAR

She was in Rent. Two very different extremes right there. She's like a Broadway goddess.

I've done this before.... just not cake balls. Don't worry though, I didn't feed those cookies to you.

Charlie get out of there!

------------------------------------------------------------------

Now I'm doing a new segment, hahaha I'm like a tv show now, called funny faces. Just because funny faces are awesome.

Sour face

I think this girl wins though:

End segment

Seriously, have any of you ever done this before?

Like even when you were little? I did...

And can you imagine this guy:

Being like this:
He's freaking awesome.

Had too.

Damn that Voldemort! Leave him alone!

Nathan Fillion everybody.

-------------------------------------------

Ok, time to tone it back with the returning tattoo portion of the post. Feel free to start the music and continue

I really love that one

That reminds me of what I want to get and it makes me want to add the birds

I want to add that with the one I want to get which is this tree:

blowing the other way off my shoulder and without that quote.

Exit with a quote

You don't get to choose if you get hurt in this world, but you do have some say in who hurts you.
