As some of you know I finally got to find out who my roommate is, which has been killing me all summer. When she first emailed me she was really sweet and I emailed her back immediately. But when she emailed me back I started getting really nervous about it. I'm in the International Learning Community, which is supposed to mean my roommate is from a foreign country. Plus, her name is Francesca Davilli, so I started freaking out thinking she was this globe trotting, haute couture, Italian model with awesome stories about her travels around Europe. So I, naturally, started freaking out thinking she would think I was boring and unexciting. So I stopped emailing her for a couple days. But then I realized it wasn't very fair on my part to ignore the girl I'm gonna be living with. So I finally emailed her back and it turns out she's from small-town Arkansas, which is really great because I can actually relate to that compared to someone from Europe. I'm honestly really relieved she's not an Italian model because I wouldn't know what to do with myself because we wouldn't have hardly anything in common. I'm glad she's someone I can relate to and hopefully she won't think I'm lame for liking to read and watch movies all the time. She told me in her last email that 'it was nice to get to know me beforehand'. I hope she knows that now she's not getting off that easy and there is no escaping me.

Ooh! And I finally finished watching Hannibal (if anyone would like to know about my psychopathic adventures). I don't know if I feel more scared for the real world or more prepared for the psychos out there. It's a really great show cause you get to see the main character slowly losing his mind because of all the stuff that happens. If you don't like the sight of: people's skin being ripped off, their eyeballs popped out, their bodies being hung on deer antlers, random body parts lying around, bodies being made into a human totem pole, people's faces being sliced open like the joker, people being made into human cellos, and people being cooked regularly into delicious, fine cuisine to be enjoyed by the many unsuspecting friends of the manipulative psychologist Hannibal, then don't watch the show. My sister stopped watching after the 3rd episode because she couldn't handle it anymore (and that was before it got bad). I guess the actors had to keep trash cans next to them while they were eating the meals that were supposed to be people because the idea of eating a human was so repulsive they had to puke sometimes. I honestly had nightmares about the show because it's so messed up. I kept dreaming the main psychopath was hiding out in my room waiting to kill me and kept waking up to check my room. But the main character is really great and kinda cute and you feel so bad for him because he's being victimized by his own therapist and he doesn't know how to stop it. And wanna wrap him up in a blanket of my love so no one will ever hurt him again. So yeah, if you get easily freaked out by that kind of stuff, don't watch it. It will mess you up.

Speaking of being messed up, did you know that new movie The Conjuring can cause serious psychological damage because it's so freaky? I didn't think it even looked that bad in the previews (I honestly thought it looked kinda dumb), but then I heard about how scary it was. I actually wanted to see it until I saw this picture:
If you can't read it, it says: "The film you are about to see is psychologically and emotionally disturbing. People who have attended screenings of this film have complained about many unusual circumstances that they have experienced after seeing the film. Due to our concern for your well-being, we have invited Father Perez to be here. He will be available after the film to provide spiritual support and/or conduct a personal blessing should you feel the need. Please do not hesitate to seek help. Ask a representative where you can sign up for a session with our priest." Screw that. If I have to be blessed after seeing a movie because I fear something might actually happen to me, then I'd rather not see it. If I went to go see it, the moment I saw this sign I would've left the theatre. I'm not taking my chances.

So I figured I'd wait until it came out because if you've ever seen a scary movie in theatres it is ten times worse than at home. And I'm gonna watch it with lots of people around so if there's any demonic forces hopefully it'll get you guys first. (It's alright. I know how to perform an exorcism.) So the moral here is: if you fear you might be psychologically damaged after seeing a movie, don't go see it. It's not worth it.

Oh, and since I keep forgetting to take pictures of Loyola every time I'm there I'll show you guys some I found online:

this is most of the lake shore campus. most of the residence halls are across the street.

this is the view from the chapel. those circles on the ground make up an echo spot, which is really cool because if you stand in the middle one and talk you'll hear an echo.

thats the information commons. now you guys can finally see how close it is to the water.

another pic of the campus.

this is the inside of the info commons. there are huge windows on each floor. the higher you go up, the quieter the floor is, so on the 4th floor its dead quiet and the sound of dropping something like your pen causes an echo throughout the whole floor.

yaaay waterfall.

this is the communications building at the water tower campus downtown. i have one class down there this year, but i'll be living there in a residence hall down there by my junior year.

hersheys building! its right next door to the residence hall, so expect me to be sending you guys giant chocolate bars.

And that's about it for now for Loyola. :)

Oh yeah. Offerings to the corn queen:

Nerd post part deux

Here you go ladies, as promised. This is highly entertaining for me.

Here we go!

I realize that I forgot some very important movies and tv shows in the last one so I'm going to try and cover the rest.

Starting now.

Okay, okay, sorry.

Starting now.

Better?

Anyways, he's the most important one in the movie (at least to me). So I'm not gonna hunt for anymore pictures.

Besides,

Excuse me as I have fun with Lost....

Yeah....

"This baby is made of chocolate lollipops and I will fly off this island with my wings."

Dude, he had some of the best line ever!

"Dude, there's a body bag here, with a body in it..."
Miles: That's traditionally what you put in a body bag.

"You knew all along - you knew this would happen. And you sent me here anyway... "

"Time travel's a bitch."

I think you've seen the whole series, Sara. I hope you followed that xD

Ok moving on.

Remember these guys?

And of course you can't forget these two : )

Let's make fun of Twilight some more...

Ok, now we can move on.

For the heck of it, let's revisit.

And now I'm gonna go try this.

Making fun of Twilight again : ) I mean I like what Hermione did, and I agree she's a strong woman but still, Rose is a badass. (You can click the image to see it bigger)

His face >>>

They can finally stop for their second breakfast : )

And for the random:

Seriously, my favorite superhero. Not gonna lie.

I tried finding another Supernatural picture for you guys and I thought this was funny. Couldn't tell you if it was Supernatural or not but I guess you guys will know...

And finally a tattoo:

I think this is a cool one too, but I really like the one I saw that says "I'm the hero of this story".

Hope you guys enjoyed this one just as much as the last : )

I leave you all with two more things. Goodnight!

"Now you understand why Peter Pan didn't want to grow up."

Nerd Post

So here are some of my favorite nerdiest  moments or pictures (yeah pretty much both) for you guys to I guess just look at.

Their faces >>

Oh!!! Captain Jack!!!

This is Captain Jack Harkness. Your argument is invalid.

Ok.... here's the other Captain Jack.

Back to Harry Potter for a moment.

I mean seriously!

You guys knew this was coming...

Doctor Who at its finest : )

Let's go in order now:

9th Doctor

He's the most sincere out of the three I believe.

And the funniest : )   (I hope you guys can read these, I couldn't make the picture any bigger...)

10th Doctor

In case it's to small:
Rose: Doctor! They've got guns!
Doctor: And I haven't. Which makes me the better person don't you think? They can shoot me dead but the moral high ground is mine!

These two were the best!

This is David Tennant. He's indescribable xD

But here's a picture of that one dude for you guys. I thought I'd be nice.

And this is Jace. He doesn't take anybody's shit.

Lets take a minute to make fun of Twilight

That's better.

And some random stuff:

Ummm... yeah... Effie, there's something wrong with you...

But Jennifer's cool.

This is Daryl Dixon. He's a badass.

And to wrap things up:

This is pretty cool.

Search it. Get addicted. Blame me.

Ummm I think I'm done. Soooo goodnight! I leave you with one more picture and a quote that I can relate to.

"If it’s time to go, remember what you’re leaving. Remember the best. My friends have always been the best of me."

Love always,
Rachel
